Nonay Engine Moving Forward
Creating upcoming modding SDKs for games on Nonay Engine, compiling plugins/addons for games non-native to Nonay engine (Unturned, Minecraft, Garry's Mod & More), creating advanced physics objects and much more.
Modding SDK
We hope you're all enjoying the new pixel art editor, we're currently working on tools to allow people to simply drag and drop mods into their favorite games made on Nonay Engine. Developers can enable the Modding SDK for their games and create tools for their communities to alter their game without any coding required - this allows communities to have a much more positive experience when getting into Modding.
Plugins for Non-Native Applications
Now this one is kind of a big deal - we were able to use Nonay Engine to create a .dll file for an Unturned server. Unturned, developed in Unity, is obviously not support in Nonay Engine but we were able to drag code blocks on Nonay Engine around to export a .dll that can be used on an Unturned server. Our development team at Method Gaming trialed this by creating a brand new plugin for Nations of War and had an overall positive experience with the Nonay Non-native Editor. This plugin editor has a few downsides but it makes it easier to mod non-native games! This feature will eventually be available under a package called 'Plugin Devkits'.
Advanced Physics Objects
Using our new Package API, we we're able to create a new package that creates thousands of tiny physics objects, eventually amalgamating into water. Yep, this simulates a fairly decent feeling water system using hundreds (sometimes even thousands) of tiny particles in Nonay Engine, without any performance issues. This was super fun to experiment with and could definitely have some really good uses in the future when developing hyper-realistic pixel-art games.
